Orsted is reportedly in talks with US private capital outfit Apollo to sell a stake in the 2900MW Hornsea 3 project off east England.
The Danish developer is looking to offload a 50% share in the scheme, according to the Financial Times.
Orsted stated last month it was in talks with an unnamed preferred bidder for the Hornsea 3 stake.
The wind farm is expected online in 2027.
The Copenhagen-based company is planning to raise €4.7bn from the sales of Hornsea 3 and other divestments including its onshore wind business.
The company is also in the process of an €8bn rights issue to cover construction of the 924MW Sunrise Wind project in the US.
Orsted and Apollo declined to comment.
