The Secretary of State has decided to re-set the statutory deadline for a planning decision regarding a large solar and storage scheme in eastern England.
The statutory deadline for the decision on the 500MW Sunnica Energy Farm application has been pushed back from 28 September to 7 December 2023.
The proposed solar and battery project consists of development on three sites in west Suffolk and east Cambridgeshire.
The Sunnica Energy Farm would connect to the Burwell National Grid substation in Cambridgeshire to allow for the generation, storage, import and export of electricity.
