Deutsche Windtechnik has appointed Achim Berge Olsen (pictured) as chief executive officer of its offshore unit, expanding the management team to support future international growth.
The appointment took effect on 1 October 2025, with former CEO Jens Landwehr transitioning to a dual role as chief financial and chief technology officer.
Marcel Meins continues to serve as authorised signatory and chief operating officer.
Deutsche Windtechnik said the leadership changes are designed to strengthen operational efficiency and financial performance as the company expands its offshore footprint worldwide.
Berge Olsen joins with more than two decades of offshore wind experience, having previously served as managing director of wpd offshore GmbH and board member of wpd AG.
He also held senior positions at Skyborn Renewables, including CEO and later advisory board member.
Berge Olsen said his focus as offshore CEO will be on developing new products and partnerships to secure long-term growth while enhancing existing services for customers.
Landwehr said the appointment brings “an outstanding leader” to the team and will help position Deutsche Windtechnik’s offshore business for future challenges.
He added that in his new role he will advance the company’s financial strategy and technical innovation to drive sustainable growth.
