Windcarrier wins Siemens Gamesa O&M deal

Fred Olsen Windcarrier has entered a long-term agreement with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy to provide offshore wind operations and maintenance services for turbines up to 15MW.

Windcarrier said either Bold Tern or Brave Tern will be used under the agreement.

The company added that operations are expected to commence during Q1 2028 with a firm duration of 10 years and additional optional periods.

The deal extends a long-lasting relationship between the two companies and strengthens the vessel operator’s position within O&M, especially for the high-end segment, a statement added.
