If your company is working within the Offshore Renewables Sector and locally to Lowestoft then perhaps you might be interested in the Lowestoft Skills Conference? Nwes World of Work is working with East Point Academy to set up a Lowestoft Skills Conference for Yr 9, Yr 10 and Yr 11 students on the 30th March 2017. This event is supported by OrbisEnergy and Suffolk County Council through the Lowestoft Rising programme.
The objective is to raise the profile of the Offshore Renewable sector, as a potential career pathway to students.
We already have the support of a number of leading local firms who will be exhibiting, many of whom are existing and/or graduate tenants of OrbisEnergy and Nwes and they include:
ScottishPower Renewables
Siemens Wind Power
Seajacks
3Sun Group
SSE
Skills For Energy (EEEGR)
James Fisher Marine Services
Global Wind Service
CEFAS
Lowestoft College
Survitec Group
CHPV Media
Fred Olsen Windcarrier
Global Wind Service
ECITB
Ogden Trust
Since the original planning discussions, the Academy has decided to roll this out to all local Academies who form part of the Inspiration Trust group, therefore we are expecting c.450 students to be part of the event in some form.
For information, participating companies are not being asked to make any financial contribution to this event.
Why not come along and exhibit? If you are interested, please contact Katie Snell on (t) 01502 563368 (e) katie.snell@nwes.org.uk
