Offshore wind innovation competition

Offshore wind innovation competition
– launch event

ORE Catapult are pleased to invite you to a launch event for their Offshore Wind Innovation Competition. This competition will bring together the three main elements to support successful innovation – an end user, private investment and an independent partner to test and validate any new solution.

They are looking for technological solutions to specific industry innovation challenges, with successful companies able to access ORE Catapult’s world-leading market knowledge and test and validation facilities to de-risk their technology, as well as pitch their ideas to investment group Green Angel Syndicate and wind farm owner/operator ScottishPower Renewables.

The event will offer an insight into the four innovation challenges for this competition. It will be a unique opportunity to ask questions directly to a panel of engineers from Scottish Power Renewables to find out what type of innovations they are looking for.

The competition is open and runs until the 21st June 2018, the link to the competition can be found here  Winners will have the opportunity to pitch their innovation to Scottish Power Renewables as well as private investors (if required) at a pitch event in June/July this year. If you are thinking of submitting an application come to the launch to find out more.
